Discover the Red City
Thanks to Amanjena’s first-class accommodation and superior customer service, guests are given an ample appreciation of what Morocco has to offer. One of the best ways to explore its interesting culture is by journeying in the astounding city of Marrakech, also known as the red-ochre city. It is divided into two towns: the old Medina and the contemporary Gueliz.
The Colours of Marrakech Tour serves as a great introduction to the city’s past and present: the vibrant Agdal gardens, the 12th-century mausoleum and mosque serving as the king’s new residence, and the Menara gardens’ beautiful water basin. A bird’s eye view of the entire city is a must-see, so are the emerald bamboo and the diverse flora at the Yves-Saint Laurent Majorelle Garden.
The Authentic Medina Tour shows an ancient town brimming with activity. Visitors are taken for a stroll around the tanneries, a moukef or a gathering of laborers, foundouks where merchants once stayed, and traditional bakeries where people bake their dough up to this day. The walk then continues to the former hospital called Dar Bellarj and on to the 16th-century Medersa Ben Youseff, the largest theological college back in ancient Morroco. A visit to the Musee de Marrakech follows where rare masterpieces are displayed, then the tour ends at the Jemaa El Fna Square.

Unfolding Historic Marrakech
The acclaimed Amanjena boasts a roster of tours that are authentic, unique, and can only be enjoyed through a luxurious stay at the resort. Guests can witness Marrakech’s history unfold right before their eyes in tours that tell a past long been gone but will never be forgotten.
Absorb the richness of the city through the Marrakech Through the Ages Tour, an exploration of significant palaces, tombs, a mosque, and a museum. The itinerary starts at the intricately carved gate of Bab Agnaou, leading to the 16th-century Saadien tombs that carry some of the finest archetypes of Moroccan Andalusian decorative art.
The next stop-El Badia Palace-which dates back to the 12th century bears traces of opulence evident in its vast ruins. Handicraft and spice markets are found at the Jewish quarters that lead to the 19th-century Bahia Palace. The official residence of the French governor in the colonial period now provides a striking contrast to the noise of the outside streets, what with its impeccable architecture standing the tests of time.
Lastly, just 200 meters away is Dar Si Said, now known as the Museum of Moroccan Art where an exquisite collection of jewelry, carpets, pottery, leatherwork, and oil lamps can be seen.
Amanjena: Where Beauty Abounds
The Amanjena resort is not only coveted for its impressive display of the splendor that is Morocco. It is also known for its superb ability to bring out the unique beauty in its valued customers. The resort spa, called the Health Center, includes five treatment rooms that include traditional Moroccan steam rooms also known as hammams. Each room lures guests into a de-stressing experience that marries beauty and wellness.
Making use of only 100% natural products are the Purity treatments. The Seaweed Wrap detoxifies while it softens the skin and enhances cell regeneration. To purify the skin, The Spa Ritual Hammam exfoliates through the application of Moroccan black soap, lavender, rosewater, and clay mask. The Cleansing Massage benefits the liver and the kidneys. It also helps reduce water retention and cellulite in the body. The Amanjena Facial rejuvenates with rich minerals, plant extracts, and organic essential oils, while the Traditional Exfoliation is a natural body scrub made from sesame seeds and Argan oil.
Performed by highly-skilled stylists and therapists, hair, waxing, and nail treatments are all done in an area where hygiene is strictly observed. Henna tattoo is also available for guests up for some intricate skin art. Harmony and originality are perfectly combined with the Health Center’s Beauty treatments.

Explore Marvelous Marrakech by Foot
The distinct charm that envelopes Marrakech and its surroundings can be embraced through a stroll along its streets. Whether for leisure or adventure, guests at the grandiose Amanjena resort can spend their days’ vacation in perfectly-arranged excursions around the mystical city.
Facilitated by experienced locals, the breezy one-and-a-half Leisurely Walk Tour begins in L’Arbaa Tirdouine, located 60 kilometers from Amanjena. A breathtaking river gorge trails from the tiny village, crossing a river as it finally escalates to stony mountain slopes that lead to another village sitting atop. The trip’s highlight unfolds as trippers get hold of a panoramic view of the surroundings.
The Kasbah Toubkal in the High Atlas Tour brings guests to the villages of Tahanaout and Asni through steep pine and cedar forests, freshwater streams, apple quince and walnut plantation, and fertile valleys. A 15-minute trail to the Kasbah Toubkal past lush chestnut trees is worth it, thanks to the stunning views it takes hikers to. The Kasbah, Berber for fortress, has Jbel Toubkal as its backdrop-North Africa’s highest peak. Villagers practice traditional Berber hospitality as they welcome guests in their terrace with dates and almond milk before lunch and an overwhelming view of the mountain range comes in sight as well.
